The Plague

Det er sommeren, 2003. Ben er ny i byen og har blitt med i en vannpololeir for unge gutter. Fort forstår han at det er et strengt hierarki som styrer i leiren, og særlig én gutt, Eli, er på bunnen av rangstigen. På grunn av utslett over hele kroppen hevder de andre guttene at han har «pesten». Ben opplever at han har mer til felles med Eli enn med de andre i leiren, noe som kan gjøre at han selv blir et mobbeoffer.

Debutregissør Charlie Polinger har her laget en intens film med elementer av FLUENES HERRE, psykologisk skrekk og body horror. Filmen hadde premiere på filmfestivalen i Cannes i fjor.

An intense psychological thriller set to a water polo camp for teenage boys.

It is the summer of 2003. Ben is new in town and has joined a water polo camp for young boys. He quickly comes to understand that a strict hierarchy governs the camp, and one boy in particular, Eli, sits at the bottom of the pecking order. Due to a rash covering his entire body, the other boys claim he has "the plague." Ben finds that he has more in common with Eli than with the others at the camp, which may put him at risk of becoming a target of bullying himself.

Debut director Charlie Polinger has crafted an intense film with elements of LORD OF THE FLIES, psychological horror and body horror. The film had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
